Chihuly at Meijer Gardens ~ September 2026

We last saw Chihuly at Meijer Gardens in May of 2010. This time there is also an indoor exhibit, for an extra fee even for members ($8.00) and the ticket is timed. Being a smaller space, the timed ticket makes sense to control the crowd, but it's still not my favorite thing. But there are some very cool things displayed there and I started my Chihuly visit there.
The Orange Hornet Chandelier is visible from the indoor exhibit and is located on the rooftop garden.
The Chartreuse Icicle Tower can be seen outside of the Gardens entrance.
These "floating bubbles" (Walla Wallas) are so cool.
The Red Reeds are a stand-out in the woods.
The Blue Polyvitro Cystals in the waterfalls are quite stunning. The setting is perfect.
The Japanese Garden has five Chihuly displays and the Niijima Floats seem to be everywhere.
Turquoise and Erbium Fiori.
The Float Boat from several different perspectives.
Nearby is the striking Fiori Boat.
Yellow Herons with their reflections.
One of my favorites is located on the hill behind the horse. The Cattails and Copper Birch Reeds are simply rising from the hillside and are beautifully integrated.
These three are all next to each other: Turquoise Reeds, Mottled Trumpet Flowers & Plum Feathers, and Ruby Frog Feet & Striped Antlers, with a little peek at the horse.
Meijer Gardens has two permanent Chihuly installations, the Gilded Champagne Gardens Chandelier (in the Grand Atrium) and Lena's Garden (on the ceiling of the Cafe).
See it all while you can. The outdoor exhibition ends on November 1 and the indoor installation closes on January 10, 2027.
