Ada Village Farmers' Market ~ June 7, 2016

This was the coldest, opening day that I can recall but it was still wonderful to see all the vendors set up today. Many were familiar from previous years but there were also new booths and product to be seen.
These twig wreaths were cool and I almost took one home.
And who can resist fresh flowers, and bread & cheese?
There was a nice mix of produce for so early in the year, and it's still not too late to plant some of your own!
Fresh fish from up north was available along with whitefish dip ~ had to have some.
My last stop was at a new vendor, Grampa's Pastys.
Between the Yooper and the Cornish, we preferred the Yooper. Apparently Rutabaga makes all the difference :-)
The market runs every Tuesday from now until fall, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, in the parking of The Community, 7239 Thornapple River Drive. Music is generally playing from 12:30 - 2:30 pm and children's activities will also be taking place.
So come on out and enjoy the bounty that springs forth in a Michigan summer.
