This is the third year of the Lantern Festival here and it is set up almost entirely inside John Ball Park Zoo (there are a few displays outside of the admission gate) and requires timed tickets. It is magnificent! There is a one mile walk throughout the zoo, a one way path with good signage. Featured are handcrafted Asian lantern displays, displays which change each year. It was very crowded but worth it.
Lots of selfies and photos were being taken, naturally.
But the lanterns were the stars of the show.
This bird made a poor choice for a nest here - so many lights and so much noise 😕
