Ada Village Farmers' Market - 6/19/12

Today was opening day for this local farmers' market. Everything presented here has to be Michigan produced so it can't open much earlier than today. In spite of the 90-degree weather, it was a busy day, and photos below consist mainly of happy, vendor faces.
Kids have their own activity booth, a village garden next door, and are great sellers and shoppers.
Music was added this year with local bands playing at 1, 2, and 3pm.
It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Support your local businesses!
This market is open every Tuesday, starting at noon.

Ada Village Celebrates the 4th of July

Starting with a pancake breakfast, followed by a parade, Ada held an antique car show and a small festival consisting of games for kids and a few vendor booths. Unfortunately, I went at the height of the noon day sun so please forgive all the glares on the cars.

This Farmers' Market inspired my first blog posting
in 2009, and the market gets better every year. Visit
every Tuesday from noon to six for fresh, locally
produced food, and support your local farmers!
